Private Funds
What We Do
The Private Funds practice at DRB leads the creation, structuring and negotiation of private investment funds, providing integrated counsel on investment strategy, tax and compliance matters. We continue to perform ongoing work relating to the management, operations and reporting compliance of such funds.
Representative Transactions
INDURE Build-to-Core Fund. DRB’s attorneys led the efforts to structure, form and capitalize this open-end fund. The DRB team transferred a portfolio of twenty-six assets with a net asset value of over $1 Billion into the fund. DRB has continued to serve as primary counsel to this fund, which now has a net asset value of over $3 Billion, handling ongoing real estate portfolio management, acquisitions and dispositions, joint venture structuring, debt financing of the assets in the fund, and new investment initiatives.
National Data Center Fund. DRB assisted its client in transitioning a co-ownership investment in a private data center company (owner and developer) to a private fund/REIT structure and related side-car arrangement with a net asset value of $600 Million, which has attracted investments from national and international large institutional investors and high net worth individuals.
Product-Specific Funds. DRB works with its clients to structure, form and capitalize various other product-specific closed and open end real estate investment funds.
Core Urban Fund. DRB was instrumental in forming a captive fund structure that has facilitated a master financing for a client.
